LENS: Canon 50mm f/1.8 & Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8

Typically I rely on natural lighting (thank you apartment for your large windows!) and a reflector.

For videos, I will use two cheap soft boxes with fluorescent light bulbs one on each side of the camera.

For my outfit photos, I just use natural light and a grey paper backdrop with my Tamron lens.

Overall this is a great setup for a beginner that wants to upgrade, the ratio of quality to price of these items are fantastic. If you are looking into cameras currently I would suggest to buy a model that is a few years old or a used model from a reputable company, unless you are an expert it is worth the savings!

If you have the money and want one camera for life, get a used Canon 5d Mark III and add a Canon 85mm f/1.8 to your kit.
